Celebrating the man who loved numbers
Hi friend,
Today, Dec 22, is Srinivas Ramanujan’s birthday.
It is celebrated as National Mathematics Day in India.
In his short life, Ramanujan had an outsized impact on mathematics and astounded contemporary and modern mathematicians with his knowledge.
Today’s issue is a special newsletter dedicated to the “man who loved numbers”.
If you haven’t yet seen the movie based in Ramanujan’s life (“The Man Who Knew Infinity”), the upcoming holidays are a great opportunity to catch up. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Man_Who_Knew_Infinity)
His wikipedia page at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Srinivasa_Ramanujan makes for fascinating reading
The next time your store or restaurant receipt comes to 17.29, remember the self-taught savant who loved all numbers.

Love
Harshal

I love public recognition of smart people.
I fully realize that actual use of the stamps is going down each day but postage stamps are a great idea to popularize smartness.
