today i learned the Oshkosh NGDV (next generation delivery vehicle) looks like this because the USPS contract mandated that the cabin must be tall enough for a 95th percentile male (6'2) to stand up but low enough for a 5th percentile female (4'11) to see over the hood

Incredible picture of the ISS by Maxar. Shows 6 different spacecraft docked for the first time ever: SpaceX Dragon, Boeing Starliner, Cygnus, Soyuz, 2x Progress.
They did it by taking one of their Legion satellites —which normally do Earth observation— and pointing it up towards… x.com/i/web/status/1…

Fun fact.
J.J. Thomson won the Nobel Prize in physics in 1906 showing that the electron is a particle.
Ironically, his son, G.P. Thomson, won the Nobel Prize in physics in 1937 showing that it is not (or rather that the electron can also behave as a wave).

#Apollo11 crew had to sign US customs' forms after returning from the moon on July 24, 1969, declaring that they brought moon dust & rock samples back. The declaration form was signed by crew members: Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin & Michael Collins. contactlight.de
